[English]

Nowadays, the protection of natural resources and the environment is a fundamental solution for achieving sustainable development and guarantees the welfare of present and future generations. In this regard, it is essential to provide a minimum level of benefits for environment and forest rangers through fair wages. So in this study was reviewed willingness to pay (WTP) for participation in correcting the wages of environment and forest rangers, and factors affecting on the probability of participation. Required data was collected through 640 questionnaires which were distributed based on simple random sampling approach in Mazandaran and Alborz provinces and Tehran city in 2017. The individual, social and economic factors and willingness to pay were estimated by using conditional valuation Method (CVM) and two-dimensional dual approach. The results showed that 59% of the households were willing to pay for correcting the wages of environment and forest rangers. The integral of the logit function showed that the monthly average of willingness to pay for the ethical and consequential people was 21000 and 18000 Rials, respectively. Considering the participation of 59% in the process of correcting wages and generalizing this result to the population, the total WTP for the population would be almost 377 billion Rials per year. By extending this result to the country, it is possible to predict a reliable source in the amount of 1466 billion Rials outside government resources to preserve natural resources and the environment.
