Environmental Risk assessment studies consists the area of identifying risks and outcomes of them with an emphasis on understanding the effects of environmental, susceptibility and also specific values of the environment, estimation of the risks identified and propose methods to control and reduce the risk. In this paper risk assessment studies was using and multi-criteria analysis approach for a gas refinery. In this research some criteria were identified as project risks and then, according to recipient and some parameters both human and ecological environment of land and sea. Land marine or terrestrial ecosystem, the parameters were classified. In risk section, the numbers were classified in to 5 levels and in effects section the weighting was determined according to the importance and sensitively of the receiver. Finally, the severity of effects was classified based on the combination of modeling results and engineering judgment from very low to very high. In table the risk calculated by multiplying the risk index in effect index for each part and to determine the total amount of risk for each risk and prioritization of project risks on the basis of the risk management plan should be obtained. The results show that in South Pars project highest project risks caused by air pollutants and in emergency conditions and after the explosion at the platform leak of gas tanks is the maximum amount of risk after the first.
